David Walsh - Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

David is the CEO and founder of Crimsonwing. After a spell of teaching in East Africa, David embarked on his IT career in IBM in 1986 and managed some of IBM’s largest UK clients. In 1992 David left IBM to develop a Systems House for a UK consultancy company, and subsequently he left to found Crimsonwing in 1996. David is a graduate from King’s College, London and holds a Masters from The Cranfield Institute. He sits on the Crimsonwing PLC Board of Directors and on the Board of Governance.

Philip Crawford – Chairman

Philip is a high profile industry commentator on trends and directions in the IT and business world. Philip was formerly Senior Vice President of Oracle Corporation sitting on the Executive board and having specific responsibility for its UK operation. Subsequent to this Philip became President of EDS International again sitting on the Executive board. He is now Chairman of several public and private companies and is a business ‘angel’. Philip sits on the Crimsonwing PLC Board of Directors.

Louis Degabriele - Company Secretary (not a Director)

Louis is a corporate lawyer by profession and a partner in the Law firm Camilleri Preziosi. He has extensive experience in capital markets work and has been a leader in advising companies approaching the market for a listing on the Malta Stock Exchange. He also advised Crimsonwing on its corporate re-organisation leading to its IPO in December 2007. He also acts as company secretary and legal advisor to the Group.

Albert Muscat - Non Executive Director

Albert’s long standing relationship with Crimsonwing goes back to before the establishment of Crimsonwing in Malta. For many years he was Crimsonwing’s accountant and now runs his own fiduciary accounting practice. Albert is a Fellow of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants and of the Malta Institute of Accountants. He is a non-Executive director on the Crimsonwing PLC Board.

James Bonello - Managing Director

James Bonello joined Crimsonwing in 1999 and is responsible for the client projects and service delivery. He brings with him over fifteen years experience in the various fields of IT both locally and overseas. Prior to Crimsonwing, James’s previous positions included IT Manager for Schlumberger Oilfield Services in Tripoli, Libya. He was also involved with the Document Image Processing Division (DIP) within Management Systems Unit and occupied various roles during a six year stint with the local IBM distributor. James holds an MBA in eBusiness. He sits on the Crimsonwing PLC Board of Directors and on the Crimsonwing Executive Board.

Joseph Grioli - Non Executive Director

Joseph Grioli is Crimsonwing’s Chairman of the Audit Committee and non-executive Director. He has over 30 years experience as a director of various private companies and worked in several positions within Maltese government institutions and other industries, including finance and telecoms. He was Managing Director of Vodafone Malta Ltd in 1989. From 1991-97 he was appointed founder Chairman of the Malta Maritime Authority. Previously, Joseph served as Director of the Malta Development Corporation, the Malta Export Trade Corporation and the Malta Economic Development Council. He was President of the Malta Federation of Industry in 1988-89. Currently, Joseph holds Directorships in a number of private companies, regulated and non-regulated, and is a Trustee of two charitable foundations.
